I LOVE this!
LOVE Mari! <3
I love these illustrations each week! Thanks for adding this :-)
So much love for this. I’m going through some rough things at work, and yesterday my husband commented that I was much more calm than I would have been a year ago under the same circumstances. I think that’s because the last 12 months have been so difficult, and I’ve grown because of it.
My darkest moment ended up being my greatest gift. All in one summer: Dumped by my long-term partner + health scare + parents separated + grad school … I could only go day by day and owe my mother a life time of gratitude for always picking up the phone in the middle of the night. Overcoming made me into the person I am today– tough as nails and more empathy than I know what to do with.
Does growth always come from adversity? I think fellow commenter Allison is on the right track. I would add support, introspection, and even teeny, tiny personal successes.
Great words, perfect timing! (:
Wauw, these words came at a great timing, thank you (:
Aww I love this little illustration so much, thanks for sharing! 2016 was definitely a big year of all of these for me- I don’t doubt this year will be the same. I think it’s important to continue to remind ourselves that ultimately all of these are to help us grow! :)
Yes, so true. It is the challenges that test us, and make us seek and try. Those are the pathways to growth. Often I wish this weren’t the case, but better to embrace this true, and let it be a comfort as I walk through the valleys.
Growth is what life offer us in exchange for its harshness )
Always love these illustrations.
Happy Friday! :)

I always like the posts on career development from a female perspective.
Thanks for introducing us to Mari Andrew! I always look forward to these posts.
A must for me in Paris is L’Avant Comptoir. It’s hidden behind an unassuming crepe stand. You won’t be disappointed.
After four months caring for my twin babies full time, I'm ready to go back to work...
