Hi Joanna Goddard!
It’s really very beautiful.
so much joy in these comments! i’ll add one thing i’m looking forward to – HUGS! one of my closest friends had her rainbow baby in october, and i’ve seen him once, but haven’t been able to hug either of them. it is the one thing i’m longing to do, and i hope in the coming months we will all be protected by the vaccine and able to hug each other tightly!
Re: new arrivals–I became a great-aunt this week, at the ripe old age of 36 (my nephew was born when I was 11!), and some friends announced this weekend that they’re having a girl in August. For me, new babies are a sign that the world’s not done yet, and we are responsible for keeping it an okay place for every baby to live and grow up in. We’re not there yet, but we sure as heck can try.
I overhear nurses calling people all day in my health care system asking if they want vaccinations and the number of “no’s” is overwhelming.
If you don’t vaccinate- you’re getting Covid it’s that simple… and it draws it out for the entire country…
Perhaps a post sharing the experiences of some who have been vaccinated and how it felt and why they chose yes.
thats why we have medical freedom. its your choice!
Thank you, Danielle! My body, my choice! :-)
Hopefully they also share the experiences of loved ones who died from those vaccinations. I have several. This site should be shut down
Cheery, much needed
I also look forward to sandals, but not as much as love ones getting vaccinated.
I’m (hopefully, fingers crossed for good weather) getting my dog this weekend! He’s an older rescue, and a few things have delayed his transport. I’m so excited to finally get to meet him and make the most of however much time he has left with lots of toys, treats, and affection
How wonderful to adopt an older pet, E! I hope you have many healthy, happy, memory-filled years with him!
I always look forward to this comment section! Such insightful, helpful, warming folks. My family has embraced the Scandinavian way of life and thankfully the freezing days and snow have actually been enjoyable. However, spring will be a welcome sight.
I just got the green light from my GYN that husband and I can get started anytime! Now to find a buyer for our house so we can get settled :)
Bursting with excitement to be pregnant again after a crushing miscarriage in December. Crossing my fingers hard!
Crossing my fingers for you!!
I’m excited for you! May this one stick. Sending you all the love from a mama who got what she hoped for finally (and more).
Reading this just made me so happy, Kaitlyn! Congratulations!!
Sending a positive thought into the universe for you❤️
My dad is due to get his second dose in two weeks and my mom is waiting for her birthday to come so she can try and get her first dose.
Honestly, right now I’m just looking forward to all this snow melting (and the subsequent mud drying)!!
Absolutely looking forward to my parents getting the vaccine! Also cannot wait to do small things without extreme planning: grocery shopping, doctor’s appointments, getting dinner, popping by a neighbor.
Yes! You hit the nail on the head: I can’t wait to do small things without extreme planning. The mental gymnastics of daily chores and plans are exhausting. Looking forward to that particular fog lifting, and of course the vaccine!
My mom is a hospice nurse and has both of her doses now. It’s the best feeling in the world knowing that she’s well protected.
I’m looking forward to:
– reading on my deck with a glass of white wine
-playing cornhole on the sidewalk with my husband in the nice weather
-hopefully going on a fully vaccinated road trip in the fall
-the virtual Golden Globes with Amy and Tina
-not worrying so much all the time maybe?
-hugging my friends
-getting a dog
I love every single one of these. I also appreciate you play cornhole (I call it bags) with your husband… we played in our living room at the height of lockdown!
YEs! Looking forward to each one of those things (typed as my baby kicks me in the ribs).
I got my second dose of the vaccine last week and it feels like there’s truly a light at the end of the tunnel. Hoping with everything I have that we can expect a baby in our future. In the mean time I will look forward to reading new books and smelling the spring flowers!
One recent Saturday night, Freddie and I...
On this chilly Monday, I'm hoping to ask a question...
