Ever since we discovered Sézane a year ago, we’ve been hooked. The Paris fashion brand strikes a perfect balance between easy and feminine. Then, Sézane launched their first denim line this winter — but it was so good, it sold out almost immediately. Luckily for us, they just restocked today. Here, the designer Morgane Sézalory and I each style three pairs…
JOANNA IN NEW YORK:
On a weekend morning, I wear the high-waisted Mom jean (I LOVED these) with a silk pajama blouse and leather sneakers.
At the office, I wear Perfect Slim 7/8 jean with a floral blouse and scalloped block heels.
On a date night, I’m wearing the Perfect Slim 7/8 jean with a silk shirt and black heels.
MORGANE IN PARIS:
In the morning, Morgane wears the Feminine Boyfriend jean, a graphic tee (this one is great, too) and Jack sneakers.
At work, Morgane is wearing the Brut Sexy 1967 jean in mid-blue (love the frayed hem! I’ve tried these and they’re amazing) with a silk blouse and heels.
For a date night, Morgane wears the Perfect Slim jean with a soft sweater and leopard heels.
We also asked her a few questions about her typical day…
Q. What breakfast do you usually eat on a workday?
A. Bread and jam, very traditional.
Q. Do you have a signature scent?
A. Byredo Mojave Ghost.
Q. What’s one thing you’ve learned about running a fashion brand?
A. Listen to everyone, but trust your intuition at the end.
Q. Describe your ideal romantic evening.
A. A long walk and a picnic.
Q. How do you get that messy bedhead look?
A. Don’t brush your hair:)
Thank you so much, Morgane! See Sézane’s full denim line here — my favorite was the 1958 jean :)
P.S. Morgane’s beautiful apartment and her Paris city guide.
