So, my #1 tip for living in New York is…
… to make friends with someone with a rooftop pool. :) Our good friends are lucky enough to live in a building with a pool on the roof, so naturally we invited ourselves over to go swimming.
Even though it was a rainy afternoon, the little guys were insanely excited. They wore Honest swim diapers. How cute are those whales? (Their regular diapers have adorable patterns, too.)
And they immediately got up to their usual antics.
We also slathered them up with natural sunscreen from the Honest Company. The Honest Company is one of my long-term sponsors, and I love their mission to provide affordable, beautiful and unquestionably safe products for kids, adults and household cleaning. It’s reassuring that their website says, “Go ahead, ask us anything. We’ll tell all.”
I’m curious: How old were you when you learned to swim? When will you teach your kids? I could doggy-paddle at a young age, but was freaked out for an embarrassingly long time about putting my face underwater.
Bonus for all readers: First-time customers can get $10 off a minimum purchase of $40 at The Honest Company with the code ACupofJoSummer for the next two weeks. You can also get a free trial. They have the best diapers, wipes, sunscreen, shampoo, hand wash, everything…
P.S. Have you seen videos of infants swimming? It’s fascinating…
