I just ordered my annual pair of Bensimon shoes. Since that’s what a French girl would do. :)
Do you have a pair? xo

I have had good luck getting them for less than retail online ($40 from Amazon), but the availability is unpredictable. I used to buy the Tennis Nils until it became less popular and harder to find.
I highly recommend. They go with everything. If you add an insole, they are no worse than wearing sandals or flip flops around for sure.
P.S. My foot is narrow, and I have had better luck with the lace up styles.
I’ll be glad to share my own thoughts to you soon. Thank you for sharing such valuable articles.
Quite worthwhile information, lots of thanks for your post.
Love, love LOVE these. They might be French, but I have pairs in red, white, and blue <3
I love my bensimons! I have a hot pink pair. My friend was just in Paris and told all my shoes reminded her of all the french girls. I felt so flattered!!
oh yeah. this year I bought a pair which is a salmony pink and I love them. though i could have also bought every other colour in the shop!
where can you buy them from (in singapore or indonesia)?
Bensimon is THE girl’s shoes !
Je suis française (I’m French) and I have 2 pair : one with lace and the other with slip-one ! It’s not expensive and we can wear with every clothes ! But be careful when it’s rain ! ;)
(sorry for my bad english ^^)
I would tell you that I love your blog, I read everyday and even the oldest post ! I try to perfect my english with your articles, it’s so interesting and fresh !
J’aime A Cup Of Jo !! Tu es la meilleure !
I bought my first pair 2 years ago in Paris…I saw a bunch of young Parisian girls running towards a shop yelling about some shoe sale. Turns out the Bensimon shoes were half off!
I bought a pair of army green lace ups and they are my favorite shoes for Summer. I have to go back to Paris for some more Bensimon sales ;)

I started living for the first time in Toulouse, France for my Masters, last september.
I travelled with a new converse, they were the only pair of shoes with me. It turned out they were small, made my feet sore, and couldn’t keep walking with them all day.
So I went on my first days, with my very small student budget, shoe hunting. I found the Bensimon (I didn’t know they were called that :) I thought they were cute, and got them because they were the cheapest shoes I could find here (20 euros).
Love them, and wear them almost everyday, mostly to go to the park :)
yup, a grey lace up pair. although i can’t comfortably wear them right now since i’m 8 months pregnant. it’s tough lacing them up right now too!! haha. back to the brikenstocks and worishofers.
I can’t believe I’m the only one who feels the elastic on top of the shoe is WAY too tight. I tried to stretch them, wear them for long hours, nothing works. Too bad because they are cute. Then I got a pair of the Liberty lace ups and one of them has a defect on the white rubber tops that hurts my toe. Maybe it’s just my luck.
No, but I’m getting a pair! So cute!
Hey,
I’m a french teenager and i have 10 Bensimons.
There’s so sweet . <3
Cute, practical, comfortable… perfect my SAHM lifestyle. :)
Curious what color(s) and style you ordered? Having a hard time choosing…
