Alex and I escaped from the city this weekend to relax at the Jersey shore. We stayed at this lovely B&B and swam in the ocean, read books on the porch and ate chicken sandwiches with fries. Alex body-surfed but I was a wuss about the waves and only went up to my knees. Overall, the beach was gorgeous and everyone was really friendly. We even met a dude with a pet parrot!

That’s hilarious! Hello, Lucy’s twin sister!
I always thought Lucy had an amazing look – super cool bright colors in the hair, a great big wide smile, burst of sunshine. I can now extend the compliment to you– ! :)
In any event, thanks for the blog, it’s great to have your entries popping up as I slog away on my thesis.
You are adorable and so very stylish in your cute white suit! It looks like a simply lovely weekend!

how fun! you look so happy and relaxed. that is great to see! books, fries and the ocean are known to have that effect. : )
absolutely love the “i love my roommate” t shirt, you should definitely sell it on etsy, joanna! cute message, without being too lovey-dovey ewww (eg. “i love my boyfriend” doesn’t sound as cute.)
and the photo with alex caught in the waves is perfect.
I want to go to the jersey shore! You two are so cute and seem to live a lovely and charmed life. I hope your big news is that you are going to take the next big step together!
haha, caitin! this is joanna — lucy’s twin sister! xo joanna
i don’t know why, the ‘jersey shore’ is such an evocative word pair. i’ve never been, but it looks lovely!
Hot damn! Google Readers suggested this as a new feed, and I wandered on over only to see a recognizable Goddard face pop up. Either Lucy is in this post or you look amazingly alike — we lived together at the Rochdale in New Haven.
Hi Lucy!
And I *am* adding this to the Reader – you find excellent things.
This past weekend, my friend Maureen hosted a party...
Wrapping paper! Gingerbread! Bows!
